i've been doing this lately... which is kind
of weird because i really don't care about
organic food...
as i posted about a bit ago, i've stopped
relying on wal-mart for my grocery needs and
have now been going to kroger.
anyways... it started out small... buying
the non-hormonal chicken and beef... but now
its progressed to organic vegetables and
other meal items.
i've also started buying free-range,
non-hormonal hen eggs, and no longer white
ones but brown.
some items you can really tell the difference
and frankly, taste like shit. but some taste
different (of course) but in a good way.
i think i'm becoming a closet fanatic...
without really realizing it.
usually the stuff costs more and there is
less of it (smaller portions)... but it
always seems like when i get home from the
store, i have more organic in my bags.
weird.

it's a lifestyle that you have to be able to afford because you're right.... smaller portions and it does cost considerably more... at least here in the frozen north

It has to cost more. Most of your crop is going to be eaten by bugs because the farmer chooses not to spray pesticides, hence organic.Of course some of the price hike is because they know paranoid shoppers will pay more for organic.
